New River Horseback Overnights....Fall Special

There is no better time to view the New River Gorge than during the colorful fall season. The rafters have left to pursue thrills on the Gauley and the Gorge quietly goes through its seasonal transition. Come join us for two day of tranquility and scenario that will take your breath away.

Our trip includes an afternoon ride into the Gorge to your prepared riverside overnight site. We'll prepare a fresh feast and a sparkling campfire to end your day. The next morning, a hearty breakfast awaits you with a morning ride back out of the Gorge.

New River Trail Rides has partnered with a local outfitter to offer a unique wagon trip into the untamed Gauley River. You'll ride a wagon drawn by one of our draft teams to the famous Sweets Falls. The unique boardwalk offers views of the largest, and most exciting, spot on the Gauley River. Watch whitewater enthusiasts paddle up to and attempt this riverwide waterfall...some will succceed while others, well, it's a natural theater full of thrills and spills. You'll be treated to a hot, grilled lunch and then ride back out on the wagon.
