1. 2 ˝ hour rides
have a minimum age of 8, minimum weight of 60 lbs. And a maximum weight of 250
lbs (depending on height, build, and physical condition).
2. 3 ˝ hour and 4 ˝
hour rides have a minimum age of 10, Minimum weight of 80 lbs. And a maximum
weight of 190 lbs (depending on height, build, and physical condition).
3. Long pants and
tennis shoes are recommended for safety and comfort.
4. You may take a
camera and/or a drink holder if it has a strap on it that can be secured to you
or your saddle. We (you) will not be able to stop on the trail to retrieve
dropped items. You cannot be handing items to another rider along the trail.
5. Items that
jingle, ring, or make loud noises are not allowed on trips. No screaming.
No earphones, radios, cd players, or walkie talkies. Everyone must be able to
hear their guide.
6. No cell phones. If
you take your cell phone, it must be turned off for the whole trip. (Other
people may be riding to get away from ringing phones and “everyday” life).
7. It is your
responsibility to know the range of your physical and mental ability and those
under your care/guardianship to control a particular horse/mule or perform a
particular equestrian activity. It is the duty of each participant to act within
the limits of his/her own ability to maintain reasonable control of the
particular horse/mule at all times.
8. It is your
responsibility to let us know if you do not understand the instruction you are
given concerning controlling your horse/mule.
9. All rides are at
a walking pace only. You must keep your horse in a single file line.
10. It is your
responsibility to inform us of any medical conditions that may interfere with
your ability to ride or that we may have to attend to on the trail for you or
those under your care/guardianship (Bee Allergies; wool/lanolin Allergies;
pregnancy; balance problems; knee, back, or hip injuries or surgeries).
11. An adult must
accompany all children under the age of 15. Two adults must accompany
scout/church groups.
12. Heavier people
will be put on our larger (weight carrier) horses/mules. It is your
responsibility to know your capabilities on mounting, dismounting, and riding
your horse/mule.
13. If any rules
are broken by a rider, your guide has the right to end your trip immediately or
take the necessary precautions to control the situation. (No customer refunds in
this case) |
